on this forum it was stated that new jersey is going to charge 8% of the
gross wager. pa is going to charge 30%+ on what I assume is the net
profit of the sportsbook. there is a huge difference between a tax on
the gross amount bet, a tax on winning bets, a tax on the gross profit
before certain expenses, or a tax on the bottom line net profit.
can anyone say with some certainty what the tax rate for a particular
state is and what income stream it will be based upon? thanks
